Countdown to our Five-Year Wedding Anniversary: 2010 in Review

As promised, here's the finale to our Five-Year Anniversary countdown!

2010 has already proved to be an eventful year with the long-awaited wedding of Josh and Traci in March.
Another big highlight has been seeing my long-time childhood friend, Andrea, journey across the ocean with her husband for the cause of Christ. It has been my joy to watch her journey through this process. The people who surround her in her new country are in for a treat over the next two years!

We also had the incredible priveledge of hosting Miwako through the Japanese Homestay program. Last week, we found out that Miwako had accepted Christ upon her return to Japan! She faces many social and familial challenges in her country, but we are thrilled that God has brought her to His great light!

Friday night we went out on a date, something we haven't done in a L-O-N-G time. It was great. Wonderful. Perfect. Amazing.
We started out going to dinner near Cranes Roost Lake, a local lake where we often go walk. It was nice to sit and have a quiet dinner overlooking the lake.
When we walked around the lake after dinner, these turtles swam right up to us!
Then we went and played putt-putt golf at Congo River (which is set up like an african village- so fun for us!). Later, we went to get pie and coffee and it was such a "sweet" ending to our date.
Well, folks, that concludes our series on our Anniversary Countdown. If you like this, or if you didn't, I'd love your feedback. I was thinking of doing something similar for my 30th birthday next month, but would love to know your thoughts. Thanks for reading!
