Various forms of entertainment...

Our friends Brent and Jenn came over on Saturday night before Easter. Jenn had seen the Peep Wars game played at her workplace and wanted to to try it. Here's the instructions:

First, select your peep. Each player should have a different colored peep, to avoid confusion.

Second, select two players to go first. Each players insert a toothpick anywhere between the peep's beak and body.

Place the peeps in the microwave, facing each other. Watch closely as they rotate and one will "attack" the other! The last one standing wins!!!

Notice how our dog, Butler, even got in on the action!

Mallory called me from work a few days ago to say he was bringing home a "project". When he got home, he unloaded many parts from an old fence. He had a brilliant idea to build an entertainment center. So, we looked at his sketches and headed to Lowe's to get some additional supplies.

We cut, sanded, nailed, primed, painted and sweated! It was our first real home improvement project together (unless you count staining all our bedroom furniture we bought after Katrina), and we enjoyed working together. In the end, it was a lot bigger than expected and very large in our small living room. I'm working on softening it up with some fabric and feminine touches. Final pictures to come soon!
